This is a screen shot of page 268 of P.R.J. Ford's The Oriental Carpet, one of the world's top references on Oriental Carpets. It features an antique Ferahan Sarouk almost identical in size and design to ours. Discounting differences in the rendering of colors from one photo to another, the most notable differences are that the field behind the lobes of the medallion in our Ferahan are a more pleasing ivory compared to the dark blue in Ford's example, and our border guard strips are more exquisitely detailed. To be cited as a fine example of the "magnificent style of the Saruq and Ferahan area" in Ford's widely respected reference work is perhaps the quintessential validation for a fine Oriental Rug.
